Neighbourhood Confirmation |
Initial work and focus will be at 255 Donald Street with 134 residents. The second area of
focus will be Lola Street/Queen Mary/King George totaling 72 units. Abid explained that
138 units was “very doable and reasonable” |

Terms of Reference |
Review and discussion followed about the Terms of Reference that were circulated earlier
via email. Abid explained that these are very general. Comments, corrections, additions
and deletions followed suggestions by Nicole and Lisa. |

minutes of the Feb. 17 meeting. |
Next Steps: |
1) Plans: Armand outlined actions and plans to date:
Jan. 19 and 30 – Front line workers meeting, Feb. 17 – general meeting,
Feb. 26 – General meeting with tenants of 255 Donald St. at 5:30 p.m. to explain the
project and March 26 – meeting to complete the survey at 255 Donald. (Colette Vermete,
Armand Kayolo and Norm Labillois)
2) Testing of the Questionnaire: Lisa indicated that the survey is being tested for
multicultural use, that it will be translated and that a letter is in draft form. Resident
input will be considered when finalizing the questionnaire. It will become a “tool” for
across the city of Ottawa. The purpose of the survey is to provide a “snapshot”, general
impressions and symptoms of the area. Language translation includes Farci /Somalia/Chinese/English/French and translation for specific neighbourhoods. Question/Answer/Discussion followed: Qualitative format, 8 pages, distribution for
early March |
