The Municipal Services Table brings City of Ottawa staff together to build on collaborative practice and service provision. Through structure and support, it empowers staff to work collaboratively with other municipal staff and services to work in consultation with the neighbourhoods in the development of solutions to neighbourhood-identified issues. Staff will:
- work across organizational boundaries to help communities solve problems
- collaborate, coordinate and facilitate resolution of neighbourhood issues using the extensive network of City services already in existence in communities
- share learning and knowledge transfer across service areas to within the City of Ottawa
- identify other partners in the community in the resolution of community issues
- document results of successful community collaborations/lessons learned
- advocate for structural, policy or other organizational changes necessary to affect positive neighbourhood outcomes
City staff will also sit on each of the other tables to ensure continuity, and communication and information flow throughout the Framework process.
