An organization that organizes activities for youth, in a safe and supportive place where they can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationship, and develop confidence and skills for life. The programs are held in the evenings, weekends, summer and school breaks. Some of the programs offered by the boys are girls club include: arts, community outreach, homework club, leadership, scholarships, sports and recreation, youth council etc.
The clubs values are: inclusion and opportunity, respect and belonging, empowerment, collaboration, and speaking out.

Allow community members to come together over a shared meal and talk about their community. Allows everyone to build relationships, learn more about one another, learn about community resources, programs and other neighbourhood opportunities and most importantly to share their ideas and visions for their community.
A formal education school governed by the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, that teaches English and core French programs from Junior kindergarten to grade 5. Their moto is “Believe, Achieve, Succeed, Together”.
The school also offers specialty programming which includes: the special education learning centre, resource support, educational assessment by a learning support teacher, and English as a second language support. The school also has a multicultural liaison officer and multicultural committee made up of parents and staff.
Some of the extra clubs and activities that they offer are: choir, ambassador program, arts and crafts, scrabble club, recycling club, drama club, library club, sports and the amigo program.

A formal education school governed by the Ottawa Catholic School Board, that follows and integrates the catholic faith in its teaching. The school teaches both English and French programs from Junior Kindergarten to grade 6. The school organizes many events including: a book fair, public speaking, family barbeque, and student-led conferences.
The Bayshore Catholic School also partners with the McHugh School, Bayshore public school, the Bayshore Advisory Committee and others.
A local Community Police Centre. The Ottawa Police Service is committed to community-policing in partnership with all residents and businesses in Ottawa.

Pinecrest Queensway Community Health Centre (PQCHC):
PQCHC is a non-profit community based, multi-service centre; offering health, employment, community development, counseling, education, youth, children and other services. PQCHC is a member of the Ontario Community Health and Resource Centres and serves a specific area of the city of Ottawa, called the “catchment area”.

We strive to meet the needs of the diverse community we serve. We work in partnership with individuals, families and communities to achieve their full potential, paying particular attention to those who are most vulnerable and at risk. We offer services in both official languages in designated programs.

PQCHC had many different partnerships, including one’s with the BCA, BCA, City of Ottawa, Public and Catholic Schools, and many others. One specific partnership is the one that PQCHC, with the city of Ottawa to implement the Community Development Framework (CDF).
The CDF process begins at the community level with the Local Steering Committee (LSC) that will come together and determine common goals for the community and turn those goals into action plans. The LSC is made up of community members and community services providers.
The action plans are then brought to the Resource Committee (RC). The RC is a group of service providers that PQCHC partners with, who can make on the spot decisions about the action plans brought to them. Some examples of RC members include; City of Ottawa, Minto, Community Police Services, and more. The RC serves as a committee for the whole PQCHC catchment area.

The circle of support is a parenting support program for Arabic and Somali speaking mothers, fathers and their children aged 2 to 6 years. Some of the services provided include peer-parenting support, workshops on parenting topics, access to information and resources, home visiting, family activities, and child and parent drop-ins. There is also a toy lending service.
All of the events are located in the basement of 210 Woodridge.
Mondays and Fridays there are English speaking drop-ins from 9:51 am to 11:15am.
Wednesdays there are Arabic speaking drop-ins from 12:30pm – 2:30pm.
